MTV Runway Rehab

The project was initiated to maintain existing runway pavement at Blue Ridge Regional Airport. The project addressed runway rehabilitation, improving runway grade, and adjusting the re-installed NAVAIDs for future runway extension.  Project highlights included full runway rehabilitation including the entire pavement section to achieve desired 20-year lifespan. The project corrected runway centerline longitudinal grade to meet FAA design standards.  E&A worked closely with DEQ to meet their water quality and quantity requirements using stormwater conveyance channels with level spreaders to improve drainage.  Our staff provided full-time construction Phase Services (CPS) throughout construction.
